Challenge:
Verishop, a startup backed by Lightspeed and led by Snapchat’s former Chief Strategy Officer, Imran Khan, was scheduled to launch in June 2019. With the clock ticking, they needed to swiftly build a high-performance merchandising team that was not only accustomed to operating in a multi-brand environment but was also highly entrepreneurial and analytical.
Approach:
Imran entrusted Chameleon Collective with the pivotal task, recognizing our industry experience and ability to understand the company’s precise talent requirements quickly. We embarked on a targeted recruitment drive, focusing on acquiring talent that met Verishop’s unique specifications. Within a short timeframe, we successfully placed the first two crucial hires: the Director of Apparel and the Lead Buyer for Home. Their high-quality performance led to another critical task: hiring a Creative Director for the company. Utilizing our efficient recruitment process, we identified and onboarded a suitable candidate for the Creative Director position in less than three weeks, further reinforcing Verishop’s leadership team in preparation for the launch.
